As a former member of Japanese Club, I have to say that Japanese Club was one of the best times I've ever had in high school. I hope that you as a current member of Japanese Club, will realize this when you graduate high school. Anyway, just saying goodbye to everyone from last year, and saying hello to everyone this year!

- Joey Trask, Former Japanese Club Historian/Webmaster (2009-2010)

Hard to believe that us officers are already planning everything until the end of the year. Well, we figured we might as well share our ideas with you guys (in no particular order):

  • Japanese Architecture
  • Japan's influence on Video Games
  • Japanese Anime: The companies that make them, and the culture that's influenced by them.
  • Japanese Religion
  • Japanese Weather/Climate
  • Japanese Natural Disasters
  • Japanese Fashion
  • Japanese Club End-of-the-Year Party
  • A special surprise for our senior class members! ;)
Anyway, just some ideas we wanted to throw out there. Obviously we are increasing the amount of meetings from once a month to TWICE a month. (The 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month) Basically, we'd rather run out of topics to teach, than not be able to teach enough of the topics that we as officers want to teach. Well, hope you like the ideas, and we look forward to hopefully doing these topics.

To denote the end of the year, we are clearing our "Latest News" from 2009 and dumping it here to serve somewhat as an archive. So here is a blast from the past:

Dec. 21, 2009:
Happy Holidays! We had a great get together with HUGE attendance, an excellent success! What a way to end 2009! And of course, you can read all about it here.

Dec. 12, 2009:
Our club sponsor Mr. Reed now has his very own fan page on Facebook! Click here to see it!

Dec. 7, 2009:
Japanese Club members are invited to the Gingerbread House party hosted by the German Club where students can build (and eat) their own gingerbread house creations. This party is next Monday, December 14th in Room C152. See Ms. Sommermeyer for more details.

Nov. 25, 2009:
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Just a quick reminder that the LAST JAPANESE CLUB MEETING OF 2009 is upon us! Be there December 17th at 2:15 in Room C147!

In reference to November 19th's meeting where we watched Pokemon, we want to know what your favorite Pokemon is!

Yes, the marking period is almost over, so in honor of that we would like you to grade our performance. Using the A-F scale, give us our score and maybe some brief comments.
